Wedding Information
You have decided to get married. This is going to be a very special day. Your life will change from this moment on. All those people to see, places to check out, things to do. It's a little scary isn't it? Well here are some ideas that can help. Ladies:
For the most part men don't care. They love you and want to marry you, then they want to party and leave on the honeymoon. So don't get upset if they show little interest in the planning.
Now that everybody knows their place lets look at an overview. Remember these are suggestions and only that. I have photographed over 300 Weddings and the stories I could tell you. Anyway the following is based on what I have observed over the years.
Wedding Packages Copy of Contract Additional Photos Start a "Planning" Book: The first page should be an overview of everything that needs to be done. Pick a gown, tux for him, find a chapel, etc. This should be a loose leaf so you can keep a log of everything you find out, paste in any flyers, price lists or contracts. Don't forget to write down any suggestions from family and loved ones. That can be a big help when you are trying to remember the name of the caterer that Susie at the office told you about. Picking a Sub-Contractor: I am talking about anyone who is going to provide a service for you. The limo, florist, caterer, photographer, videographer, etc. You must remember that this is the most important day in your life but to us it is just another job. Pick someone who understands how important this day is to you and is willing to work for you. If they tell you... this is what I have and this is all I do...Pick someone else. We work for you and we need to do what you want done, not the other way around. Remember there are a lot of people trying to make a buck. Choose someone who has a record of delivering the goods when and how it is agreed to. Most important is choose someone you can get along with. The best in the business means nothing if you think they are a jerk. Your Photographer: From a photographers stand point it might be a good idea when going through those bride magazines to cut out any pictures you might want recreated. Paste them in your Planning book and show it to the photographer. This works better then trying to explain a picture to them and hoping they do what you want. Most Photographers will create their own version of what we think is the perfect Bride and Groom Portrait. The pictures from your planning book will show what you think and help us to create that perfect portrait. Make a list of everybody you want a photograph of or with. Give this list to someone who can lead the photographer around and point out these people. Make sure that list has everything you want pictures of . Like the rings, cake, floral arrangement, or anything you can think of. Some of us photograph take these pictures as a matter of course... others don't. Make sure we know. Looking at your proofs a week later is not the time to ask, "did you get a shot of...?" All prices/packages are subject to change. I have included a copy of our agreement for your viewing. Remember nothing is written in stone. Should you want to add or delete something we will be happy to sit down and talk about it. Wedding Agreement Call 813-662-6832 and we'll meet and show you samples of everything you see here. Wedding Packages Copy of Contract Additional Photos
